Join Dave Cann, founder and owner of CLEAVER Salumi Cabinets, at this year’s Norton Street Italian Festa on the Marketplace Leichhardt Panetta Mercato Stage for a live salami making demonstrations.

Dave’s demo will be followed by the first ever Italian Festa Salami Competition Awards, presented by Silvia Colloca and Anna Simon.

Dave will be available after the demo for all your questions regarding salami making and CLEAVER Salumi Cabinets.

Curated by new business alliance Viva Leichhardt, an Uptown District supported by the NSW Government, the Marketplace Leichhardt & Panetta Mercato Culinary Stage will feature an array of talent headlined by Italian-born TV personality, author, and singer Silvia Colloca, who is set to share and cook several recipes, alongside an impressive line-up of chefs and popular cooks, who feature on TV and social media, and run restaurants along the famed foodie strip, all imparting techniques and offering easy-to-emulate Italian cooking tips for seated guests.

Norton Street Festa, held annually in the heart of the Sydney suburb of Leichhardt, is one of Australia’s biggest and most renowned outdoor events, and for the very first time, the Marketplace Leichhardt & Panetta Mercato Culinary Stage is set to entertain visitors at the event in way that is engaging, fun… and as always, very Italian.

The annual, one-day only event will be held along the eclectic Norton Street in Leichhardt on Sunday October 27, 2024.

1:30 PM: Experience an authentic dish cooked by Silvia Colloca, alongside Ilario Ventolini from award winning Moretti Ristorante Pizzeria in Leichhardt

2:45 PM: The competition heats up with a Salami competition and tasting awarded by Silvia Colloca and Anna Simon, alongside salumi expert Dave Cann from Cleaver Salumi Cabinets
